For many years Forrest local Dave Olle has lived under a shadow.  This shadow has been cast over him long and dark. Too often he has been overlooked in conversations, left out of photos, and longed to wear the green and gold "legitimately".

The shadow we speak of was the blessing that came with being married to his wife Emma Colson.  You see Emma is not only a former World Cup competitor, former Australian National XC champion, National XC Series Champion, National Marathon Champion, and just all round nice chick.  And Dave has had to endure this for a very long time.

But no longer!

After months of training on our sweet trails here in Forrest, and with perhaps a little training help from a few locals, Dave Olle snatched the Super Masters Australian XC Championship jersey, last week at Mt Stromlo Canberra.  Dave held off a fast finishing Mark Walters.

When asked how he felt after his win, Dave replied with... "Bloody Awesome"

Well done Dave, we can finally see you now you are out from under the shadow, and all of Forrest salutes you!
