G'Day All, Welcome to the October 2008 update for the Forrest MTB & Cycling Club.

The first change you will notice is our change of name. As a fully inclusive club, we welcome anyone to come along and join in, regardless if you like to ride single track on a mountian bike, or prefer to stick to the black stuff on a road bike. The club offers benefits and activities for all. The second change is we are now fully incorporated and affiliated with the governing body for mountain biking in Australia, MTBA. We can offer full membership and insurance benefits through MTBA including public liability cover and insurance for all club activities.

A number of members have entered the KONA 24 Hour which will be held on the last week-end of November. As a prelude the club will launch its Forrest Feral Friday race series, open to members and non-members, check out the posters going up soon. Full Details here

The third change is we now have a fully formed committee to help arrange club activities, although in practise the club will continue to be run by the members for the members. We appreciate feedback from all club members and Forrest residents.
