Well it's only taken some 12 years to realise, but yesterday Forrest residents were surprised and shocked when their mobile phones started ringing.

Yes that's right, we now have full Telstra Next G mobile reception.  We are led to believe that Optus and Vodafone coverage will come online in the very near future.

This is great news for now only residents but also visiting Mountain bike riders.  No more standing on tip toe on the roof of your car trying in vain to send a txt message.

As they say in the classics... "there goes the neighbourhood"
