Saturday saw 32 members of the Forrest mountain bike club take to the trails at Anglesea's, Eumarella Park for one of regions biggest annual mountain bike events, the Surfcoast six hour, which was tackled by 460 riders.
The event comprises two separate races held at the same time on the same course, one being a three-hour race and the other the six-hour event
The event was held on a dry and dusty circuit with something for every one, from flowing trails and fast sections to some technical ascents and descents
1st in the 6Hour Fours Teams, Calum Middleton, Hamish Middleton, Simon Harrington
Felix Smalley with an average age of just over 14 years, 12 laps in 6:44:57. Simon even managed to bag a Top 20 fastest lap for the night stage.
In the 6 Hour Junior Solo event, Tom Power racing in only his second 6Hour event as a solo, beat his competitors by several laps to finish in first place, 10 laps in 6:28:26.
The 6 Hour Male Solo event saw, Nick Kennedy 15th, Andrew Yarde 29th in his first six hour solo, Sandy Maxwell 30th also first time solo of this time frame, Daryl Burns 32nd, Gavin Dunk 44th, Ben Culton 48th, Neil Kinder 72nd, David Lacey 90th (retired with a mechanical) out of a field of 111 riders in total
6Hour Male Pair, Tristan Read 6th, Jeremy Veenstra teamed up with Ben Scott for 31st place, Tony Dos Santos and Colin Burton 41st
6Hour Mixed Pair, Crystal Petersen and partner 6th
3Hour Male Solo, Jeremy Emmett 9th, Adrian Dillon 15th, Phil Bickerdike17th, Neil Harrington 25th, Evan Sheppard 36th, Andy Prossor 39th, Craig Scott 44th, out of a total field of 102 riders in total
3Hour Female Solo, Katie McKie 3rd, Tracey Sandstrom 17th, Hannah De Roest 18th
3Hour Junior Solo Hayden Maxwell took out 5th place
3hour Female Threes the team of Cathy Moffat, Marie Middleton and Holly Lusher taking out third place
