Young Hamish AKA"The Freakish Giant" Middleton is hammering it up on the Victorian XC Mountain bike circuit.
Having only just turned 13, his mother Marie religiously carries around his birth certificate to prove his age, due to his strength and presence on the bike, competitors and onlookers can be heard questioning if he really belongs in the U15's age category.

So now that we have his age sorted, his ability and love for riding definitely should not be questioned.
Hamish also rides and races road and track bikes and has great success in this area of cycling too.
It was only a short 6 months ago that Hamish got a mountain bike, living close by to the Forrest trails and becoming a member of the Forrest MTB and Cycling Club has helped fuel his passion for success on the mountain bike scene.
He can be found riding long full day Epics with the hardened masters of the scene as well as teaming up with other up and coming juniors on the local scene.

As it stands, Hamish is currently equal first on the tally for the Victorian XC state series with a total of 280 points.  His biggest rival Sam, is a smaller slight built boy, so lets hope the rest of the series offers race courses that require strength and endurance that our "Freakish Giant" is fabled at handling with ease!
