For yet another year Forrest will host what is widely regarded at the toughest one day Mountain Bike race in the world.

The Otway Odyssey has had a small name change thanks to the new major sponsor Kona Bikes.  Whilst the name change will take a little getting used to, the course will be the same as ever.

Starting from Apollo Bay the riders will be confronted with.

• Approximately 40k of tough climbs
• Another 25k of tough singletrack.
• Yet more singletrack for 20k
• And finally another 7k climb with a 7k downhill to finish the event.

This year will see some of the elite riders wearing "tracking" devices that will allow spectators to be able to watch their progress.

The Odyssey creates a festival atmosphere within the small township of Forrest, so if you've got the time head down to Forrest and watch a truly EPIC event.
