Final preparations are just about done... soon we will be welcoming riders from all over to our little town.

With a RECORD NUMBER of entries at 500 participants, the Forrest 6 Hour has become the premier 6 hour MTB race in Australia.

Notably will be burns conducted within the 4,5,6 trail network.

Please be aware of all advisory signs and don't worry... our bush grows back quick.

We've been swamped over the past few weeks with heaps of people decending upon our little town to train for the 2013 Kona Odyssey.  Those of you who came here and experienced some of the dry conditions we had will be pleased to know that we've had some rain over the past couple of days which has made the trails just so... The ever popular New Years Day event returns again in 2013, funnily enough on the 1st of January

Timed decent on the iconic Red Carpet trail Shuttle bus with unlimited trips during the event

Registrations on the day from 12.30 Runs from1pm-5pm from the park at the bottom of Hennigan Crescent, Forrest (bottom of Red Carpet trail)

Merry Christmas to everyone and the present from us to you...? Awesome trails!

After a very wet winter, we've had enough good weather and a great deal of trail work, so the trails are in absolutely PRIMO condition.

Don't forget that now on top of the awesome Forrest Brewery, there is also the new "Corner Store Forrest", which is a bike shop and cafe, serving light lunches awesome coffee and bike hire and repairs.

Due to the increase in popularity of Forrest and it's attractions, including world class mountain bike trails, the Colac Otway Shire have begun significant road works to upgrade the parking facilities in the main street of Forrest.

These works will include additional car parks along with a more structured method of parking.

On the weekend of 24th March, the Forrest MTB & Cycling Club welcomed Nick Bowman from IMBA Australia to our little township in order for Nick to present his Trails Workshop.

With approximately 15 people from the Forrest Club, Warnambool Club and staff from DSE we first hit the classroom to learn a bunch of theory for developing sustainable trails and maintaining them.
