We've had many calls recently asking about the condition of the trails.  Well despite heavy rains in the Melbourne area lately, Forrest has missed most of it.  Further the soil out here handles a "bit of rain" far better than most MTB venues are around Melbourne.

So get on down here.  The trails are in excellent condition and the Forrest MTB & Cycling Club will be busy over the next few weeks getting the trails ready for Summer.

After an uncertain opening date, the Forrest Brewery & Cafe quietly opened on the 30th November.  The establishment is run by Forrest locals Matt & Sharon Bradshaw.  The two siblings have created what many say is "exactly what Forrest has been missing".

Read more...After several years of lobbying, we are pleased to announce that ready for the school holidays, Yaugher Trail Head now has a working toilet / change room.

This is a much needed addition to the Forrest trail network and the Forrest MTB & Cycling Club would like to thank DSE for their work in constructing the toilet / change room

Forrest recently made the news because of a little "situation" with a Mobile phone tower.  Well seems some locals have had what appears to be a win of sorts.  This means that Forrest will soon no longer be "off the grid" and we will get Mobile Phone reception here in town.

This has become somewhat of a neccessity when it comes to safety for Mountain Bikers and bushwalkers.

Read more...The second annual Forrest six hour mountain bike race has proven the popularity of the local event once again the event was sold out in record time and on Sunday the parking area was a sea of vehicles, the transition zone was a sea of people and bikes.
